Platinum Recording Artist Matthew West

Life was good for Matthew West. Having catapulted onto the Christian music scene in 2003 with his debut single, "More”—the most played Christian AC song of 2004—the multi-Dove Award nominee and sought-after songwriter had enjoyed two critically-acclaimed studio recordings, Happy (2003) and History (2005); been a mainstay at Christian radio with memorable hits like “Only Grace,” “History” and “Next Thing You Know”; and toured with such artists as tobyMac and BarlowGirl. The core message of his latest album, Something To Say, is “no matter how many mistakes we’ve made or trials we’ve faced, it’s the brokenness of our lives that God uses to give us something to say to the world.

Special Musical Guests

This year's FreedomFest will also feature special musical guests My Brother's Scars, Urban D, Los1 and the finalists from JoyFM's Cell Phone Superstar contest.

My Brother's Scars' mission is to spread the love of Christ while challenging Christians to be examples of His love; to remember the sacrifice that He made for us and to live lives worthy of it. They play Christian Alternative Rock and have original music similar to Kutless, Building 429, Audio Adrenaline and Third Day. Their songs are about God’s love, sovereignty, and sacrifice; our weaknesses, struggles and need to be saved through Christ.
